Colon Statue, one of the "must-see" of Barcelona, won't be opened to public anymore

Since the past 1st of May, when 6 tourist got stucked in the statue for 5 hours because the lift was suddenly out of order and they had to be rescued by a crane. Since then, for security reasons, this atraction famous four his great views has not re-opened again, as they can't guarantee another evacuation plan. Although many of the tourists wich visit the city still are interested to take the lift, it's not possible to have a clear information until they have not finished to study all options, wich will be within the following weeks, but they are quite pessimistic about it. In any case, it's still possible to have this Barcelona icon on your photos either from different points from the city or from a bit closer from many of the lions wich surround the statue. In any case, we will keep you informed and we will keep in mind other interesting places where you can enjoy a nice view of the city.
